MIND's Interactive Long Distance Learning Project

Purpose of an Interactive Long Distance Learning System:

The Interactice Long Distance Learning System provides:

  • Access to high level courses that are not offered due to limited enrollment by allowing multiple sites to effectively added the limited enrollments for a course together and share the cost associated with the instructional staff.
  • It allows the older student population of a high school to jump start the college education process, while staying in the high school environment.
  • It allows for staff development and inservices from a more diverse area of resources.
  • It allows Administrators to use its Video Conferencing capabilities and attend meetings that would pull them out of the district or school.
  • It allows the schools that have ILDL rooms to partner with local colleges, and become a site for offering college courses to the residents of the local school districts.
